Add an AI chatbot to Squarespace in minutes.
Short answer
The AI Lead Responder from Paramount Exposure is the chat widget this page installs. On Squarespace the install line goes into Code Injection: Website → Pages → Website Tools → Code Injection → Footer. Save, and the chat widget runs before </body> on every page, answering inquiries in under 60 seconds, in your voice, and sending people to your booking link. It never books. Code Injection is included on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and on the older Business and Commerce plans.
What you need
Two things, and five minutes.
- Your site key
- Issued by the setup form after checkout. It is the only thing in the install line that is yours; everything else is the same for every site.
- Access on Squarespace
- A plan with code injection: Core, Plus or Advanced, or a legacy Business or Commerce plan. The Personal and Basic plans do not have it.
The install line
One line, pasted once.
On Squarespace it goes in Code Injection → Footer. It loads the chat widget after your content and nothing else.
<script src="https://www.paramountexposure.com/r.js" data-site="YOUR-SITE-KEY" async></script>
YOUR-SITE-KEY with your key, or copy the line from your setup form, which already has it.The clicks on Squarespace
Code Injection → Footer.
Labels as Squarespace writes them, read from Squarespace: Using code injection. If a menu has been renamed since, that article shows the current name.

Get your site key
Buy the AI Lead Responder ($497 once). The setup email carries a link to a three-minute form; it hands back the install line with your site key in it.
- 02
Open the Pages panel
From the Home menu of your site click Website, then Pages.
- 03
Open Code Injection
Scroll to the bottom of the Pages panel, open Website Tools, and click Code Injection. (On older accounts the path is Settings → Advanced → Code Injection.)
- 04
Paste into Footer
Paste the install line into the Footer box, not the Header box, and click Save.
- 05
Check a page
Open your site in a new tab. The Message us button sits bottom-right on every page.
Someone else runs your site?
Send these steps to your web person.
A short note with the line, where it goes on Squarespace, the steps and a link back to this page. The email button opens it in your own mail app, addressed to nobody until you fill in the name; the copy button gives you the longer version with every step written out, for a ticket or a message.
What happens after
It answers in under 60 seconds and sends people to your booking link. It never books.
From the moment the line is live, every inquiry typed into the Message us panel is answered in your voice, from the brief you wrote, around the clock. The responder qualifies the person with at most two of your questions per reply and sends them to your booking link; they pick the slot on your own calendar tool. Each conversation is emailed to you and listed in your dashboard, where you can change what it knows or pause it in one click. Your phone lines stay exactly as they are.
Prefer us to do the install? Reply to the setup email and we do it within 48 hours; the manual install is included.
Questions
Squarespace, answered.
I cannot find Code Injection. Why?
Your plan does not include it. Code Injection exists on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and on the legacy Business and Commerce plans; upgrading from Personal or Basic turns the panel on.
Does it work on both version 7.0 and 7.1 sites?
Yes. The Footer field of Code Injection exists on both, and on both it runs before </body> on every page.
Header or Footer box?
Footer. The line is written to load after your content, and the footer box is where Squarespace puts code that should not hold up the page.
Where does the site key come from?
From the setup form. After the $497 checkout, the setup email carries one link; the form behind it asks five questions in your own words and hands back the install line with your key already in it. The key identifies your site and works on the domain you gave in the form, including its subdomains.
Does it book the appointment?
No. It qualifies the person, answers from the brief you wrote and sends them to your booking link. They pick the slot on your own calendar tool. The responder never books for you, and it never gives legal, medical or financial advice.
Will the line slow my site down?
No. The script is about 12 KB, loads with the async attribute after your own content, and nothing on your page waits for it. Visitors see a small Message us button bottom-right; the chat panel opens only when they click it.
How do I know it is working?
Open any page of your site after publishing and look for the Message us button bottom-right. Send yourself a test inquiry. The reply arrives in under 60 seconds, and a copy of the conversation lands in your notification inbox and in your dashboard.
How do I take it down or pause it?
Remove the line and it is gone. To pause without touching your site, open the dashboard and click pause; the button disappears and comes back when you resume.
What does it cost?
$497 once. No retainer, no subscription; up to 500 conversations a month is included. If the responder is not live within the published window it is refunded in full on request, per the terms, and the $497 credits toward any larger Paramount install within 30 days.
