Install · Hand-built sites and static generators

Add an AI chatbot to a plain HTML website in minutes.

Short answer

The AI Lead Responder from Paramount Exposure is the chat widget this page installs. On a hand-built site the install line goes into the shared layout, on the line above </body>, or into every page that has its own file. Deploy, and the chat widget is on every page, answering inquiries in under 60 seconds, in your voice, and sending people to your booking link. It never books. Static generators take it in the base layout once.

What you need

Two things, and five minutes.

Your site key
Issued by the setup form after checkout. It is the only thing in the install line that is yours; everything else is the same for every site.
Access on plain HTML
Write access to the site's files and whatever deploys them (FTP, git, a static host).

The install line

One line, pasted once.

On plain HTML it goes in The shared layout, before </body>. It loads the chat widget after your content and nothing else.

<script src="https://www.paramountexposure.com/r.js" data-site="YOUR-SITE-KEY" async></script>
Replace YOUR-SITE-KEY with your key, or copy the line from your setup form, which already has it.

The clicks on plain HTML

The shared layout, before </body>.

Labels as plain HTML writes them, read from MDN: the script element. If a menu has been renamed since, that article shows the current name.

  1. 01

    Get your site key

Buy the AI Lead Responder ($497 once). The setup email carries a link to a three-minute form; it hands back the install line with your site key in it.

  2. 02

    Open the layout

Open the file that wraps every page: the base layout in a static generator (Astro's Layout.astro, Hugo's baseof.html, Jekyll's _layouts/default.html, Eleventy's base template), or each HTML file on a hand-written site.

  3. 03

    Paste before </body>

Find </body> and paste the install line on the line directly above it. Save.

  4. 04

    Deploy

Upload or push the change the way you normally publish. Open the live site in a new tab; the Message us button sits bottom-right on every page that carries the line.

Someone else runs your site?

Send these steps to your web person.

A short note with the line, where it goes on plain HTML, the steps and a link back to this page. The email button opens it in your own mail app, addressed to nobody until you fill in the name; the copy button gives you the longer version with every step written out, for a ticket or a message.

What happens after

It answers in under 60 seconds and sends people to your booking link. It never books.

From the moment the line is live, every inquiry typed into the Message us panel is answered in your voice, from the brief you wrote, around the clock. The responder qualifies the person with at most two of your questions per reply and sends them to your booking link; they pick the slot on your own calendar tool. Each conversation is emailed to you and listed in your dashboard, where you can change what it knows or pause it in one click. Your phone lines stay exactly as they are.

Prefer us to do the install? Reply to the setup email and we do it within 48 hours; the manual install is included.

Questions

Plain HTML, answered.

React, Next.js or another app framework?

Add the line to the root layout the same way; in Next.js use the next/script component with the same src and data-site attributes and strategy afterInteractive. It needs to appear once per page, not once per component.

My site sets a Content-Security-Policy. What do I allow?

Allow https://www.paramountexposure.com in script-src and connect-src (the widget loads from there and posts the conversation there), and allow the widget's own inline styles in style-src. Nothing else is loaded.

Does it need jQuery or any library?

No. The script is self-contained, about 12 KB, and runs in every current browser with no dependencies.

Where does the site key come from?

From the setup form. After the $497 checkout, the setup email carries one link; the form behind it asks five questions in your own words and hands back the install line with your key already in it. The key identifies your site and works on the domain you gave in the form, including its subdomains.

Does it book the appointment?

No. It qualifies the person, answers from the brief you wrote and sends them to your booking link. They pick the slot on your own calendar tool. The responder never books for you, and it never gives legal, medical or financial advice.

Will the line slow my site down?

No. The script is about 12 KB, loads with the async attribute after your own content, and nothing on your page waits for it. Visitors see a small Message us button bottom-right; the chat panel opens only when they click it.

How do I know it is working?

Open any page of your site after publishing and look for the Message us button bottom-right. Send yourself a test inquiry. The reply arrives in under 60 seconds, and a copy of the conversation lands in your notification inbox and in your dashboard.

How do I take it down or pause it?

Remove the line and it is gone. To pause without touching your site, open the dashboard and click pause; the button disappears and comes back when you resume.

What does it cost?

$497 once. No retainer, no subscription; up to 500 conversations a month is included. If the responder is not live within the published window it is refunded in full on request, per the terms, and the $497 credits toward any larger Paramount install within 30 days.
